Hi, I'm Hannah, I'm a Registered Nutritional Therapist and Health Coach. I specialise in helping women transform their health and energy and find the weight that feels just right for them.
Like me, my clients have found when they reach their 40’s and 50’s something seems to change in their bodies. They feel inexplicably exhausted, all sorts of niggly little health symptoms appear out of nowhere, their weight begins to creep up and worst of all they just don’t feel like themselves anymore.
I have always loved food and cooking, and been fascinated to learn more about it. So much so that I studied Food Science at University and afterwards I worked in the food industry for 12 years.
Throughout my 20’s and 30’s I worked hard and played hard… and whilst I always tried to do the right thing with food, my busy lifestyle meant that more often than not I grabbed a ready meal on the way home from work - sometimes because I was short on time, and others because I just felt too tired to cook. It never occurred to me that my diet and lifestyle might be contributing to the insomnia that I had battled with the whole of my adult life.
Fast forward 10 years, I was in my early 40’s with two, absolutely gorgeous, children - my insomnia was worse than ever, I was exhausted, grumpy and miserable (not a great place to be), my teen acne seemed to have returned, and for the first time in my life I was gaining weight around the middle. Nothing I did seemed to make any difference. It was time to take a new approach!
After lots of research I started making changes to the food that I was eating. The results were amazing. My sleep improved dramatically overnight. I had more energy and began to feel more like exercise. My mood improved, I was much less irritable with my family and my weight started to shift in the right direction. In short, I started to feel like me again.
That’s when I decided to return to college and study for a diploma in Nutritional Therapy at the highly regarded Institute for Optimum Nutrition from which I qualified with distinction. What I learned there, and in my years of clinical practice since then, can help you to transform your heath so that you too can feel energised and radiant, rediscover your waist, and find the food choices that make you feel fantastic.
As a mum of two teens, juggling work and family life, I totally get how easy it is for everyone else’s needs to come first. I know first-hand just how it feels to be literally dragging yourself through the day. I absolutely believe that when you feel fantastic everyone around you benefits. If you are ready to make your health a priority, I would love to guide you towards feeling fantastic. Using my nutrition expertise, I will help you to make sense of all the information out there and find a way of eating that really works for your body. If this sounds like what you need, let’s work together to develop a personalised programme of small but really effective changes to help you achieve what’s important to you.
I’m a member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT), registered with the Complementary & Healthcare Council (CNHC).
As I approached 60 I decided to tackle some long term problems of disrupted sleep caused by hot flushes; low mood and an afternoon energy dip. I found Hannah welcoming, warm and knowledgeable. It was easy to integrate the nutrition and lifestyle recommendations into my busy life and my sleep, mood and energy levels are all much better! But most importantly, I believe I have the confidence now to maintain these changes and live a healthier life. Meeting Hannah has definitely been a great investment and I would thoroughly recommend her service.
